I got the inspiration for this little diorama whilst watching an episode of “Bones“.

It got me thinking how cool this would look as a model, after some research into sinkholes, and pouring over images, I settled on this setup, seems to be the most common scenario; car in hole, road underneath car, broken water pipe, water pouring onto car, power cables and other utilities on show.

Base made from a polystyrene block, cut to shape with a hot knife. Road surface is a very thin lay of Polyfilla. Guard rails from Italeri, water made using AK Interactive Still Water & Vallejo Water Texture. Scratch built the ladder.
